Are natural phone cases really plastic-free?+
Some are fully plastic-free (our hemp, flax and pure wheat straw cases). Many natural cases — wood, cork, bamboo, leather — use a slim inner TPU bumper for drop protection. We disclose this on every product page.
Do wood phone cases protect your phone?+
Yes — wood-backed cases pair the natural exterior with an inner bumper. Most are drop-tested to 4–6 feet. Fully natural fiber cases (no TPU) are lighter on protection (2–3 ft).
Is cork durable for a phone case?+
Very. Cork is naturally water-resistant, self-healing for minor dings, and lighter than wood. Lighter cork can stain — we recommend the Stone or Honey finishes for daily use.
Are these cases safe for skin contact?+
All exteriors are natural materials — wood, cork, bamboo, vegetable-tanned leather, hemp or plant-based bioplastic. Finishes are plant-derived oils or food-safe waxes. None of our cases use chromium-tanned leather or PVC.
Do any cases contain TPU?+
Yes, some do — as a thin inner bumper. We use plant-based TPU when possible. Each product page labels this clearly under 'Contains TPU.'
What is the most natural phone case material?+
Our hemp/flax weave cases contain no TPU and no silicone — fully plant-based throughout. Wheat straw bioplastic is also a strong pick.
